Stalker is great ( but with its share of flaws as well). Best game Iv played in 2007. The atmosphere is amazing and the shooter part is excellent. It even has some fallout spirit with the radiation, mutated beasts and the hostile ukrainian wasteland

I havent found those unique guns, but good condition magnum/chinese AK/combat shotty do the job perfectly. Do you have high skill with big guns/energy weaps? cause the damage depends on your char skill, hence energy guns may seem to have very weak if your skill is low. armor dumbing is :(

Tenpenny folks are actually peacefull and even the guards dont go killing the ghouls but the ghouls are trying to take over the tower and kill its inhabitants ghouls are clearly evil its pretty dumb that there is no way to convince the ghouls to stay away the peaceful way (or is there?)
