    my fallout project

The blog is way to go. Anyway, looks quite interesting thus far. Since I understand you're serious about implementing (simplified) SPECIAL in the right way, I can only greet such move. Soooo, how's it going with Neoaxis? You're probably new to the stuff, but I'd like to hear the impressions...

    Olympus2207 Presentation Video & Screenshots

I like the expression of anonymity about him :D It does look "male" to an extent, will there be a "female" version? The development has progressed far beyond the stuff I was checking out not so long ago. Considering the fact you're using Fallout 2 (and its scripting/mapping/prototype/etc...

    Legendary modder interview: Killap

I can't wait for the day to see you come back regretting the words and start working on a hobby project that turns out one of the best mods ever ;) Say, did you ever throw anything from a film into the RP? It may be a loose reference, a character name, a single line... but did you ever...

    Bethesda's preliminary injuction denied, again

Anything less than nukular objection that can be overruled only if the judge is Liberty Prime (hence it can be won only if player mash his X button in a QTE quickly enough to cause something O:S'M) and I'm boycotting it!

    Falling for Fallout?

    CVG Fallout "5"'s wishlist

Yes, distinguished comments galore, just like the article that sparked them. I reckon they belong together. Let's see... Ah, one of the many very insightful posters around there: Fallout Online is not a squeal! You heard it, people! Interplay is maybe sparse on information regarding this...

    New animations 2

Obviously, the talking heads born outta clay models are somewhat different in comparison with the game sprites rendered in (presumably Lightwave) 3D software. This is why I have to agree with Lexx.

    To our talented modders....a request:)

Yes, there was once a mod under the name Fallout: Raider Menace, but it looks like pretty much dead. Even NMA hosted some of the screenshots, take a look yourself. Anyway, being familiar with modding both of the games, I can say that the whole idea would be possible to an extent, but I doubt...

    Legendary modder interview: Mash

Thank you for your kind answers, Mash. I usually have no such problems, unless the game forces a very strict narrow FOV. This was quite disturbing in e.g. Medal of Honor, for which I couldn't find a way to override it (I somehow did finish the game, but with a slight nausea), or in Metro...

    Legendary modder interview: Mash

As always, nice overview how people start and do "things." Say, while looking for the specific code functions in the executable, what else has caught your eye? Anything interesting or weird in there? What are your further plans, other than adding a feature here and there to the existing...

    Fallout 2 Map Editor

In their respective directories. Just stick to the file structure provided in master.dat and critter.dat and you can't make a mistake. This is a thumb-rule for each and every content file you're about to change or add. If not sure what I'm talking about, try unpacking those two dat files...

Ctrl+Alt+Defeat and Destructoid on 'War Never Changes'

Maybe you should. The intention of raising a controversy over the words and drawing attention can be classified as "trying too hard." It's their first number, you get the idea. BTW, anyone got that passage starting with "In Fallout 2"? I'm totally lost there... Destructoid hits somewhat...

Fallout Archaeology: Ancient Fallout 1 advertisement

You have to admit, sometimes it fits a title. Also, note the emphasized words. Back in the days, there were people who were doing their job - coders who could code ladder climbing, marketing directors who knew how to write a short, but effective info for the cover/poster etc. The artwork...

    Scenery stuff and such...

The closest thing coming to my mind right now is this snake made for the BGE mod. You may wanna send a PM to Jesterka, I'm sure he still lurks around here.

    Legendary modder interview: Ardent

@Lexx: AFAIR, the worldmap speed is set with the terrain property for each of the zones (in the worldmap.txt file, "mountain" being the slowest and such)... Unfortunately, it doesn't help much against the CPU-speed-boosting, but I suppose you know this already. @Ardent: I see you took some...

New Loading/Splash Images (and other cool post-apoc art)

This may be even better (for loading screens). I would, however, ask the author for permission before touching anything. That's your guy as well, Lexx.

    Scenery stuff and such...

Thanks for the PS pointers, maybe I could try it myself once! Yeah, but proper rendering and touch-up techniques along with proper conversion works wonders. Also, I always prattle about good story - if you got one in your mod, players won't pay attention to Frankenstein graphics :ugly:

    Recreating Fallout 3

Graphic sluts, the man comes around talking about his mod and you promptly ask him for graphics... :P Actually, I'd like to see them doors as well (since I can't beat the graphics sluts, I have to join them), you can post them in the screenshots or scenery threads. Just beware of the Czech...

The trucks are perfect (as is the boat). How do you touch them up in PS, are you using a tablet?

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

Okay, I was playing around a bit with Vault Rats (sfall and no-sfall testing variations) and here's what I got... There's a scene on the very start of the mod where two NPCs talk to each other via floaters. One says a line (floater), then the other one replies (floater); then the first one...
