owner of strategy guide, it seems to go like this in order of max upgrade strength; T-45F, T-51F,T-60F (dunno why, dammit Bethesda), and of course our dear APA, the X-01F reigns supreme.

What they really should have done is have the different models of power armor have different efficiency ratings, T45 is the lowest and loses energy quickly, whereas the X01 would have the highest efficiency and drain slowest, maybe even not at all. Protip: followers don't even need a fusion core...
