Clockwork Revolution (A New Game by InXile Entertainment)

Maybe a Steampunk setting in which the technology can not surpass its limits due to some new element like 'super coal' that produces more energy, or in which clockwork technology could potentially produce automatons close to robots but still hopelessly inferior to anything that uses transistors...

Suggestions for game industry (and game) enthusiast news publications? [specifics inside]

They are really old. You will probably won't even recognize or remember some of the games and stuff that was being discussed in them. Heh, one contained this separate booklet about games coming up in 1995 or 1996, they were really excited about games like the original Quake (or was it Quake 2?)...

Suggestions for game industry (and game) enthusiast news publications? [specifics inside]

Yep. I feel old for remembering when magazines were still a thing and somewhat reliable. I know of retro game blogs but I doubt you mean those. Damn, I used to read PC Gamer UK. I still have a couple of old issues from the 90s.

Nuclear Drifter: Roaming the Post-Nuclear World

Nice to see an indie project. I can't tell you if I will play it as I have so many other things on my head but I wish you luck.

Clockwork Revolution (A New Game by InXile Entertainment)

Too much dialed to 11, I get you. Clockwork Revolution (A New Game by InXile Entertainment)

I would not say that it is ugly but it is definitely not interesting and memorable as we have already seen so much of this. I can't speak for the character models yet as I did not get that look a good at them but we already know that human models in video games have been in a decline for a while...

Clockwork Revolution (A New Game by InXile Entertainment)

You saved me from writing down the comparison. I checked this topic just after I checked the TOW here on NMA and the first things that popped in my mind were most of the games you mentioned. Also seems to be same level of writing, especially the character dialog as well we will probably get...

Is Van Buren canon (or semi canon)

No, I meant Fallout Nuevo México which is a Fallout New Vegas mod.
  9. The Dutch Ghost

Is Van Buren canon (or semi canon)

Elements have been used of it in FNV but Van Buren itself is sadly non canon. Some kind of prequel could indeed have been made with it but then FNV would also have to be heavily modified to imply that NCR once extended further eastwards until the Legion drove it back to Nevada. But honestly...

Most likely an update changed the settings. What is a problem with these kind of situations is that I tend to get very frustrated because I feel so powerless. The problem solving guide online was not very clear.
