10 best games.

Thanks. My friend used to play the one before revenge, "deluxe" maybe? I might be thinking of a different series, though. I never got into it too much, not into wrestling enough.

Not sure. I've just played the avrious EWR games. Yeah, like I said, it's something fro wrestling fans. If you aren't one; you probably wouldn't be interested.

Hmm, these lists are always so damn hard to do.

Anyway, my list would probably look something like this:

1. Civilization 2 - No other game has "stolen" so much of my time
2. Fallout - Best CRPG so far.
3. Pirates! - Two Sid Meier games in my top five, this game also occupied a lot of my time, first on my computer and later on the illfated Amiga CD32.
4. Close Combat - The entire series actually, since it so hard to separate the games.
5. Doom - This is still the only FPS game I've really, really liked.
6. SimCity - I like building stuff.
7. Planescape: Torment - While it sometimes played like an interactive novel, it was a very good one.
8. StarCraft - Best RTS game I've played
9. Wasteland - Somehow, the list wouldn't seem complete without it-
10. Arcanum - This could easily have been a top five game, if not for the combat and other gripes I have with the game.

Ah, man, you know what you guys are missing?

Number one, best games ever...
THE MARATHON SERIES

and now for the others... in no REAL order except for the top few above the last few
#2 Deus Ex
#3 Fallout series
#4 Arcanum
#5 System Shock 2 - best sound/atmosphere of any game i've ever played, scared the bajesus out of me many a time.
#6 Zelda - A Link to the Past
#7 Diablo 2 w/ LoD
#8 Final Fantasy VIj (FF3 for you stupid american pigs)
#9 Metal Gear Solid
and #10 NWN - The campaign is... meh, but Witches Wake is AMAZING and online play is really fun

that took me awhile, truth is i only have a couple games that I really play anymore. i spend most of my time checking out bands, at work, and with my girlfriend. but then, when the FO2 1.05 patch comes out... i might be able to squeeze a few straight days of it in to my squedule

I thought Witch's Wake was pretty poor to be honest. Out of interest - what did you like so much about it?

PC games I've really enjoyed playing and have played through their SP parts/campaigns multiple times (different options, characters, mods, difficulty levels etc..) in no deliberate order whatsoever:-

- FO2
- FO:T
- Half Life + Opposing Force
- MoH:AA
- Conflict: Desert Storm 2
- Call of Duty
- Soldier of Fortune 2

Games that have disappointed me in one way or another enough so that I've never felt like playing them again:-

- RTCW: Started of great with bags of atmosphere and tension, but the difficulty level went of the scale on the last few levels leading up to the big supernatural slugfest at the end.

- MoH:AA Spearhead - SP campaign is too short and the MP maps are sniper/camper havens

- Arcanum: Great story and setting but you just can't play a mixed tech and magic character worth a damn. And don't talk to me about the skill points and game time you can waste making firearms AND bullets only to find that even an average melee/mage character will kick your arse armed with no more than a sharp piece of fruit or a pointy stick!

- DF:BHD: Enemy and team combat AI is complete crap in SP and snipers dominate the MP maps.

1. Fallout series, FO I, FOII and tactics
2. Monkey Island Series
3. Jagged alliance Series
4. Leisure-Suit Larry: Love for Sail
5. Alpha Centauri
6. Dungeon Keeper series
7. Age of Wonders 2
8. C&C series
9. Caesar 3, Zeus,
10. Heroes 3 and add-ons

In no special order:

Civilization 1 + 2
Elite and Elite 2: Frontier
Fallout 1 and 2
Planescape: Torment
Daggerfall
Heroes of Might and Magic 2 and 3
Angband and its variants
Star Ocean 2
GTA 3: Vice City
Street Fighter 2

Almost perfect games in their genres

Motorhead
Unreal
Fallout 2 & 1
Crime Cities
Liero
Worms1

Other which sticked me to the computer for long hours

Heroes 1
Pro Pinball: BRUSA
Stonekeep
Duke Nukem

And other that I have to mention

Shadowman
Extreme Pinball
Larax & Zaco
Total Annihilation
Carmageddon 1 & 2
Heroes 2
Worms (2, 3, 4)
