2006. A better year for RPG's

I've got this feeling it will be a very demanding game in terms of hardware though... What with all the stuff your computer has to do... Which sucks because my comp's old and my wallet's empty.

I doubt Spore will be too system intensive since it's going to be a mass-marketed game, as all Will Wright's games are. It's not like an FPS which is targetted at a very specific audience.

I'm far from an expert in the matter, but I simply came to my conclusion because of what Wright was saying, namely the procedural generation he mentioned.
It seems to me that the computer will have to do a lot of calculations, from how a specific creature moves to what creatures are needed to balance the ecosystem of the game-world, hence my concern for it needing 'harder' hardware than another Sim game...

Specialist, look for Gothic II: Gold Edition. It was released by Aspyr Media a few months back in the US, and it includes the Night of the Raven expansion (which you can't buy seperately in English). Unfortunately, I don't know if it has been released outside the United States yet.

Yeah, i have the same pack. Your best bet is importing one from the states through eBay. Havn't played it much actually, what draws you all to it?
