I don't believe it has a pistol grip.

Remember, the artwork for the sniper rifle and the laser rifle are very closely related. Without the wires, you can clearly see that entire area.

Also, look at this version of the laser rifle, where the trigger is obvious (you likely want to look at this image against a light background):

By the way, nice job with the wires/plugs. That was the main point I was going to make to The_Chosen.

Don't take this as negatively, but without the textures it looks like a Lego gun... which makes me wonder when the Lego people make a Fallout collection thingy... now that would make me buy that stuff again...
Imagine all those little Lego Muties killing little Lego Ghouls with little Lego Plasma Rifles...

Laser rifles are unique in that they don't really require a long barrel. It doesn't take alot of barrel-time (is that the right word?) to get a laser projectile out of the gun and hit a target accurately.

I've started uvw mapping it now and it's a fucking pain

Ps. the yellow "frontstock" looks a bit funky...a bit like some huggybear balloon ride. Why round "balls"?

It's the smoothing groups, I didn't get it quite right on the frontstock thingie, but it's no big deal, I can fix it in no time and most likely, it won't look that blobby when it's textured
