a couple of questions

First time out of the vault
1. Is there a stealth boy in fallout 2, and does it work like the one in fallout 1.

2. Is there any real use for rad x, rad away or the geiger counter?

3. Apparently there is a map to vault 13 on a elvis picture... is that true and how do you get it...

2. Rad X = gains radition level
Rad Away = Lowers radition levels
Geiger counter = shit I forgot what that was, I think it improves the map in the pipboy or is that something else

3. Yes, go to that ranch in NCR, give the drunk a drink (:P) of something, he says that the doctor take his picture which holds the map to V13 in it, then buy it off the dortor for 10,000 or something like that. Or just killed him :)
 
i know what the radiation stuff is for, ive just never been radiated above anything that gets better with 10 minutes rest. so it seems a little pointless
 
If you're particularly weak you should get radiated quicker. It had more use in Fallout 1, what with the Glow and everything, but it isn't impossible to get radiated to death in Fo2, because centaurs and floaters can cause radiation poisining if they attack you.
