Here's an email we received the other day where I work.
I was quite amused when this was braught to my attention
It's probably a wind up, but it still made the my day that more interesting.
Basically - he wants to disable F11 on his PC and ask if he can claim compensation from us for loosing his wife due to porn.

Dear Helpdesk
I was very happy with my computer I received under the HCI scheme it worked
ok for weeks with no problems then things started to go wrong.
I spent hours and hours downloading 100s of art pictures - well some call
it porn but that’s their opinion – anyway when in one particular website I
think I may have got a virus as I kept getting directed to a webpage that I
did not want to go to as its all boring adverts and no pictures at all.
A friend at work who has a similar computer suggested I press the F11 button
to restore my system so this I did but now I have lost all my pictures and
I cant even remember all of the websites I got them from so to get the same
ones back will not be easy.
Being upset and annoyed I phoned my friend and called him a F…ing Idiot and
now he wont speak to me and also my wife overheard the conversation and she
wont speak to me either for downloading pictures.
Feeling really miserable at losing my downloads I stormed out to go to the
pub and the wife’s dog (which she just bought a couple of weeks ago) ran out
of the house and onto the road and got hit by a car.
Now my wife is threatening to divorce me.
Although maybe I should be pleased that she is not speaking to me (peace at
last) and maybe even happier that she may divorce me I AM concerned that I
may lose my pictures again after I redownload them as being on dial up it
takes a very long time and someone may accidently press that F11 button.
So can you please advise on 2 things:
1/ How can I disable the F11 button
2/ If I lose my wife because of all this then would I qualify for
compensation under the insurance scheme because if F11 did not erase all my
files then all of this would never have happened.
Thanks
xxxxxxxx
