The Polish Fallout modding site - FMC - now comes with an English version, which means that you will be able to get the latest mods from there directly. (remark: you've got to enable cookies in the browser, if you've disabled them by default.)

Already Wounded Ronin released his Vintage Weapon Mod (which replaces weapons with real guns from 40s, 50s and 60s) on this page, you can get it from there, and also from NMA downloads section here.
 
FMC is great! Team MIB has a private forum there now. We are more organised as a consequence. Expect news on the english version of AL and Dominion mod fairly soon :) we still need Russian translators if anyone can help out.

I like the reasoning too, but I don't like that they completely don't fit the Fallout setting. I tried playing Fallout with them and they just don't fit.
Fallout (unlike RL) has new and better weapons that have their own character (unlike soulless and stagnant weapons like M-16).
Maybe they don't do them like they used to in our world, but in Fallout universe they still do and they do it better.

The weapons look awesome - and your selection is ex-ce-llent. For me, they fit better then the old ones.
