Never saw it or really heard of it until now. The IMDB description doesn't entice me much either. Besides, the movie is what 4 years old? Hardly current news. I saw Y Tu Mama Tambien and got half a chub from that but if I want good sex and nudity for a full chub, then I usually see some good X-rated fare or I convince my girlfriend to get naked with me.

What? The only thing I remember is the child explaining that Jesus was not the Christ, that he did not really die on the cross and that he can now fuck Mary Magdaline to his heart's desire. Been a while sense I have seen it, but I DISTINCTLY remember that much.

(3) Zoe is right. Christ is tempted and for a brief moment he gets the choice of following that temptation. This humanizes the Christ figure as both a man and the son of God and thus a person of free choice. It is the freedom of choice that makes the sacrifice more meaningful. While the film has been criticized for it's message (but then so were a lot of other films primarily for members of religious establishments who find such artistic representations as contradicting their dogma) I would agree that it is a Christian film and worth seeing. Yes, he ends up dieing on the cross and thereby fulfilling his mission on earth.
I would also suggest Jesus of Montreal as another worth while film that will piss off the religious intolerant and yet carries a Christian message.
ANd for the record - Melena was a very good film. Monica Bellucci is the vision of goddess that if you look at too long can make you blind.

This is NMA, people who post here should have thick skins, and generally I am kind of cool with these posts getting a bit hot and maybe even offensive.
However, I see little pay off in a message which could be perceived as a guy getting pissed off and calling a woman who made a decent post a "heretical bitch." Free speech you say? Yes, but NMA is not a free country nor a fair one. I don't like to have to play board cop and intervening. But I won't tolerate that kind of disrespect.
As for Monica Bellucci- man, that's an ass you can eat a cake off of. Better, I think those breasts are real.
