The wood handle looks good Brother, but... i don't know if it's just me, but the red part looks a little weird. :scratch:
 
The last inch or so behind the edge should be bare metal; a minute of sharpening with a file will take all the rust off there, as will regular use. The red looks speckled, like noise on an analog TV. You might be putting too much corrosion on it. Take a look at the crowbar, spiked knuckles, and metal armor to see how they show just a bit of rust.

It will be a vicious weapon. For hand tool injuries, axe wounds may be the worst. I can't think of any non-power tool I'd less like to be hit with.

Yes you're right, I've lost the 3D impression in the red part.

You are right too.
I 've "exagerated" ;) on the rust red part :)
I row a lot in texturing :(
It's for that I prefere asking to the communauty to validate it.

Hey, I also did an axe for my mod, but I didn't take the time to make a special animation for it.

Your work looks very good, except maybe for the red part, as others have pointed out already. And the animations are great!
