a Post apocalyptic RTS

Looks fun , but how do you start the game, "start sim" does nothing?!

edit: never mind I had to fill in a name

Hmm think someone from the RPG Codex tried to LP that a while back.

Does look interesting and I'm a sucker for pixel graphics.

To make Stormrise worse, it's only compatible with DirectX 10 and 11.

I run windows 7, does anyone know how to get it working? I get the whole not compatible crap.

the mod seems interesting. Anyone here has ever played it?

I played the Civ III mod and story-wise it's not very clear, as it takes factions from Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout tactics all together, and begins exactly in 2077, so you have the Unity, Vault 8, the Enclave, the Shi, Arroyo and the Brotherhood all with bases in the continental US exactly when 2077 rolls in. That killed a bit of the possible immersion for me.

The design is a bit ugly, but with a Fallouty feel so I can forgive that. The talking heads from Fallout replace the Leaders' heads from Civ, so you negotiate with Aradesh of NCR, Rhombus of the Brotherhood, and so on. Technology-wise, it's a good take: you begin just as crappy as if you'd just been hit by a nuclear war (well, the game DOES begin in 2077 exactly) so you begin the first ages rediscovering pre-war technology, and the last ages finding new uses for it (vertibirds, i.e.). The terrain is just beautiful, and by beautiful I mean utterly destroyed

It's helluva fun despite its flaws, because it's the mix of two awesome games: Civilization and Fallout.

I am going to download the Civ 3 fallout mod. I think there is a fallout mod for Hearts of Iron 2 as well.

Stromrise
Burntime
Civ 3 Mod : Fallout
Desert Law
Tribal rage
...

Ok, time to try out some demo's and it seems tribal rage and burntime are abandoned-ware... so downloadable...

but still... more is better as i'm a bit sceptical about these games.... but i'll try first..

some games motivate me to make some simpel Flash game... Aspecially as i don't really care about super graphics.. simpel moving pictures is good enough for me... maybe even something like drugwars...(not like it in the sense of gamepllay, but like it in sense of complexity in UI)

Burntime is very fun. I remember playing it years ago, when I was like 12, and was totally engrossed by it. I think I downloaded it from a site called the Underdogs. It would be amazing if someone released a game in vein of the Fallout universe/Simcity(localized politics/growth of communities)/Company of Heroes (base-building/resource concepts). May not have much of an audience beyond this site though.
