A Question about Goodsprings in Houses ending.

Can we assume that in the House ending Goodsprings thrives like we're directly told it does in the Independent ending?

I can't see what about Houses control over New Vegas would do to impede Goodspring's independent traffic, they might even be better off than in the Independent ending because of all the Republic tourists coming in and travelling along the I-15 to New Vegas (I cleared it of Deathclaws and Cazadores anyway.).

Also, does Houses ending mean he will have control over the entire Mojave? if not, do you think he ever will? or will it be like the Independent ending where each town is its own little city-state with the wilderness being totally free?

House.. If you are like me who went through his dialogue for like 50 times, you'll realize all what he wants is just control over the Strip, and money. And he'll never.. ever.. look to the Mojave unless after like 5000 years.

As for the Independent ending, I wouldn't say that. During the Courier's dialogue with Julie you'll notice he talks about "Automated security for the region". So.. he would be in control of the entire Mojave.

Anyway, you are sort of right about Goodsprings in the House ending. However, it should be worth noting that the taxes in the strip, etc, etc would remain unchanged during House's ending. And that life in Vegas would be unforgiving, as it is.

But House talks about rebuilding the region and making it it's own power, he is only using the NCR to set up the bases for him. He doesn't directly interferes with the independent towns but I hardly think he will just not care about them, he went through the trouble of getting the help of the Boomers and the like.

I agree with walpnut on this, I don't think you're right there about his wants, he indicates mulitple times he is interested in caring for the region, he is a benevolent autocrat, not an uncaring dictator, but I was wondering whether he enacts widespread control.

I'm sure he will eventually spread securitrons around the region and take some form of light control, especially when the tunnelers come about....though they may not be a problem on account of The Courier killing their queen (But that is another thread entirely.)

Also, what taxes on The Strip? Houses whole economic idea relies on Laissez-Faire economics, taxes would be counter to to that.

I think you are thinking of the NCR.

Sorry, taxes aren't the way I should've said it. It's that money check thing at the gate.

The Courier slaying the Queen of the Tunnelers would make them a bit disorganized. But they will still be deadly. Remember that deathclaw? One Tunneler is more than a match for a deathclaw.

However, if he would use the republic.. Then when the NCR returns to California after their defeat at Hoover Dam, would be very weakened.. The amount of the troopers who would stay in Vegas is not a small number.. And I am not sure if it's mentioned but, wouldn't the NCR retreat from all areas? Including their towns? The Primm - NCR - House ending is a proof. This would leave a small amount of NCR Civillians. Of course, they can visit Vegas once in a year/a couple of months or so..

I did go through the dialogues again, you are right. however.

At the end of the All or Nothing quest, the NCR military is kicked out of the Mojave, all of their military bases abandoned.

The only NCR presence allowed in the Mojave are Caravans and Civilians from the Republic, no military presence is allowed in the Mojave anymore.
