A small but vital suggestion

First time out of the vault
Should Fallout 3 survive the current Interplay mealstrom, I know one thing that absolutely, positively needs to show up, which may have been suggested already:

A random wasteland encounter with the Six String Samurai.
(See the film of the same name for more information).

Ideally it would yield a unique weapon: the guitar/kitana, which is both a gruesomely effective melee weapon, and
--gives +1 charisma when wielded OR
--does even go detected as a weapon in areas where NPCs don't allow open gun-toting.

--Papa Legba, who always has Vic carry a fuzzy painting of Elvis in his role as Standard-bearer of the King.

A lot of references in Fallout 1 were completely missed by the average gamer. Fallout 2 was filled past the brim with references that everybody and their bruncle (brother/uncle) would understand. Having an obscure reference to a post-nuclear movie seems appropiate to the Fallout theme to me.
