a ton of encounters

Is there any way to reduce the frequency of encounters when travelling the world map? i get really really lots of them, wich isn't all that fun.

Yeah, that sucks. I've seen 4+ encounters in a single map square. Here's an old discussion about it, but doesn't sound too hopeful.

The only way I've ever found to get around it is to cheat up Outdoorsman. For a non-cheating solution, there doesn't seem to be as many encounters on direct routes to the missions. So another option might be to avoid wandering much and travelling straight as you can in speedy vehicles until you can get your skill up.

Don't know if it was intentional, but it DID make Outdoorsman a valuable skill.

thanks, i raise the outdoor skill of a soldier to above 100, but still, having all those encounters are annoying.

renew the campain world map can solve this, of course you must start the game from the beginning
