I am going to post a VERY important piece of information that might make it through to you since you seem just the slightest bit dense:

FALLOUT 3 IS NOT OFFICIAL YET AND SO IT IS POINTLESS TO PUT UP A BOARD AND HAVE PEOPLE MAKE SUGGESTIONS FOR A GAME THAT'S NOT IN DEVELOPEMENT.

You can't take that literally. That would mean 2 of the 3 BIS games in development, aren't actually in development.

I think it means, "Until FO3 is officially announced, there will not be a message board for it."

If you are referrring to a different post, please provide a link or post it.

Why would he reply to it at all then? If he's not allowed to say there's a Fallout 3 in the works, then he's more likely to just skirt the issue rather than say anything about it.

There's other places in that board about Fallout 3 not being in development. Does that board have a search engine?

I dunno, but I tend to read any posts by Chris Taylor. I've yet to see anything that says, "There won't be a FO3," or "FO3 is not in development."

If he skirts the issue, then it's about the same as confirming it.

There is no Fallout 3 at this time. Feargus will announce when BIS starts working on it.

Until then, there is no Fallout 3.

The SK2 engine may or may not be used in Fallout 3, but it doesn't matter since there is no Fallout 3 at this time.

I feel like I'm telling my three year old that there is no Santa Clause and there is no Easter Bunny. Don't make me do it again! :)

That counts. They're in pre-development. Yeah, so they're not actually in development. That's it, yeah.

Well, maybe we'll get a sci-fi RPG out of BIS.

Hmm I'm just wondering ?

Is this the same crowd that ranted and raved about a Halflife mod involving Fallout ? Or some here have pushed for a multiplayer RPG for Fallout ? Or even a Ultima type game for Fallout ? Or even the realtime fanatics that wanted to end Fallout's turned based game ?

Why such raves for these ideas (which I think were silly) yet such attacks on Fallout become a tactics type game ? Where where these purist months ago when these other ideas were debated ?

I don't think so. I know Rosh was pretty adament about not having a Fallout FPS or FOOL. Can't picture Xotor wanting such a thing either.

I wouldn't mind a party based multiplayer Fallout RPG, actually. If it's done well, and doesn't crimp the single player aspect. One to four people, cooperative play would be nice I think. However, it would raise a lot of issues such as dying..

I wouldn't mind an FPS similar to Tribes, with say, the Brotherhood versus Supermutants.. However, I would be annoyed if they weren't similar to Tribes' C&H or D&D games. I think the BoS versus the Supermutants in a game of CTF would be really pathetic.

I think FO:T BOS Looks like a great game. The screen shots look awsome, and the way the characters look is great. I don't know why all of you guys are wining about this. I cannot wait until *FALLOUT*:Tactics comes out. I love fallout, I am 14, and I think that they are the best games ever! I love them! I would play Fallout: Jeopardy, just because it says FALLOUt. Well, talk to ya all later

Probably the decision behind FOT:BOS using the Fallout franchise is that of making a profit with it’s name and attracting a new breed of players (I imagine they think that they will get the RPG Fallout fans, as well as the strategy fans).

The important thing is that the fallout franchise will be expanded, making probable more fallout games (like FO3).
