After about 4 years of looking I finally found my FO2 disc.

RedEks

First time out of the vault
Sure I could have ordered a new one online, but I didn't want another one. I wanted MY Fallout 2 disc, the one that gave me hours of enjoyment. The one that taught me things that I later used in real life. I remember searching so hard one day, after I moved, and being unable to find it. And every so often like once a month I'll do a cleaning to my room and throw out the old stuff and organize everything and look for it.

Well after 4 years of this, Im cleaning my room and I open a box and take out somethings. I take out this old High School calendar book thing and Im flipping thru the pages and what drops out....my FO2 disc. The reason Im posting this is because after 4 long years I can finally play FO2 with the disc I got as a gift. I literally took the disc and kissed it. It was dusty but I kissed it.

You have no idea how good it felt to install the game and watch the intro video again after so many years.....Beautiful. You never appreciate the beauty of the game until you lose it.

Ehm....what?
Why the hell would anybody be lying about that?

Also, this thread had better turn into something relevant and not a spam thread, or it's going to go into ze vats.

Well, maybe if you turn the first post into something relevant and not a pulp fiction book about a little boy and his Fallout 2 cd...

Or I could give it a go... on the topic of being happy about finding Fallout cd's, I was overjoyed when I found Fallout for a couple of euros at a german supermarket.

And I was happy when I got my original american version of Fallout2 including the box, manual, cd, and official strategy guide.
For 60 USD

Urgh.

Now I just have to do the same with Fallout1

I can say we all lost Fallout. for good. maybe in 100 years there will be another team like Fallouts dev team was: cohesive and with that spark of ingenious madness.

and if we are talking about heartbreaking moments, I remember opening the box at the post office wich came all the way from USA with both Fallout and Fallout 2 in big retail boxex and both the official strategy guides for them! The joy!

I even have Fallout twice! :))

Showing a girl your character sheet with a 10 for Charisma will get you laid?
