Alice in Wonderland

It's a sequel as Alice is now 19 but pretty much devoid of plot.
Which should be a good thing considering the original work was amazing despite having no plot but for some reason they tried to shoe horn one into the movie and failed badly.

Whaaa?

Wow, talk about fucking stupid. First Depp as the hatter, then the actress I didn't like for Alice, and now they tries to put all of that into some sort of cliche Hollywood story? I was going to give the movie the chance, but fuck that. Not watching it, and will pretend it doesn't exist, thanks.

Also, Alice is prohibited to be older than 16 in any adaptation. I mean, it's a coming-of-age story, what's the point of turning it into something else?

If I ever want to see an Alice movie, I guess I'll just rewatch the 1999 version, because I love it.

Also, we really need an anime version of Alice, hopefully directed by someone with a good sense of humor like Satoshi Kon. I'm actually surprised noone's tackled it yet. Anime adaptations of classics usually turn out really well.

Because being attracted to children and jacked up on dope equals imagination.

What's wrong with either? Everyone has their hobbies.

Also; Tim Burton didn't like the original Alice.

If that's true, the more reason not to watch the movie. I guess that'd explain why he didn't adapt the original story, though.

@OakTable, Big Fish is one of my favourites. I even read the book after and was even more impressed with Burton's work. He turned quite a mediocre story into great movie.
You liked the book? It seems to me Burton often does best with solid source material. And worst with remakes.
