Well, not really. It's just the Kunsthaus (art centre) that was built there - a biomorphic blob among historical tenements. Truly as horrific sight, given its hollistic context.

Really, it reminded me of "Earth: Final Conflict" or that Collapse artwork with the alien tower

Art my ass.
 
I can't say it strikes me as ugly. Quite on the contratry, actually.
Also, there was a documentary about that building around the time when it was built (2003 I believe), and I remember them saying that every plexiglas panel for the roof has its unique shape.

I'm not saying it is ugly. It's daring and whatnot, but there - there it's just outta place.
 
I like how it is out of place, almost like it's a statement.



In any case, I think the architecture is curious and interesting, but overall it looks kind of ugly.

Lacking in grace which is perhaps the most important part of architecture to me.

It's a pretty town, this thing is a damn monstrosity. They killed a guy for doing this in England. Hot Fuzz reference.

They should remodel the whole town to look like that

Then get some high class Hookers with sexy high-heels by the dozens and let them loose on the streets

Open up a couple Hash-Based food restaurants

That'd be a great place to make a living
 
Sorry, its fugly, lacks interesting design, and out of place. I hate glass fancy buildings....
 
Well something seems out of place in Austria but can't put my finger on it.

EDIT:Seriously, that building is a blight compared to all the other buildings around it.
 
Looking at it makes me want to charge at it with a flame-thrower. It's like a huge slug slowly sliding through the city. It would actually look good if it had other buildings around it of the same design, but as it is it's just an eye sore.

I kind of agree. I don't know if it's beautiful or anything, but it's certainly an interesting and unique design, it intrigues if nothing else. Unfortunately it is wildly and terrifyingly out of place with all those old school European tenements.

Wow, that's fugly.

The surrounding buildings are all beautiful and have organic shades of orange for roofing, as well as an olden style to them.. Yet this is a friggin blue octopus sitting in the middle of all of them.. :|
 
Looks vaguely like something H.R. Giger would have designed, kind of like those bio-mechanical bars he did in Switzerland. This is worse though.

Seems the thought crossed more than one mind. It looks utterly disgusting. But it is probably the because of the context. If it was the new bad guy in duke nukem 4 ever it would probably pass as bad ass.
