Alternate I Am Legend ending (spoilers)

The books' end lies on the idea that Neville is a legend because vampires have become the norm so he is a sort of freak to them, because majority dictates what IS normal. Does this end reflects it ? No.

Yeah, those films cost millions $... so each second of the movie becomes expensive. So the guys try to go as fast as they can, and try to say as much as can in the shortest time (which can be really stupid sometimes, 'cause too often, crucial things are not put into it). But sometimes there are surprises=> The best example is the Lord of the Rings. I think that Jackson managed to show the spirit of the books even if a lot of things don't appear (more than a thousand pages to sum up is a real challenge!).

I guess that as regards the scenario of "I am legend", the guys could have been much more accurate to the book. At least, the movie managed to be a good action movie.

I Am Legend: now that's one movie I never bothered to waste a second thinking about once I walked out of the theatre.

It's so mediocre, there's nothing to contemplate or discuss - like a blank sheet of manilla paper sitting alone on a table: just...vacant.

Finally watched the movie. I didin't like the theatrical ending but imho this one isn't any better and actually looks pretty dumb. I haven't read the book so I'm judging it strictly as an ending to the movie.
