Alternative Fallout teaser site

As is somewhat typical of Bethesda, a fan - kxmode - took it upon himself to "fix" the teaser page, especially the music. While the original two arts were just edited fairly averagely, the current version has two new interesting fanmade images to compete with Bethesda's, and a choice of songs each of which is better than Bethesda's:

Hmm, i've recently played Homeworld (again), and I concluded, that music from that game is very fallouty. Now I see, I am not the only one who thinks that way.

Nice site.

I really like the adjustments made to the capitol building picture. I can totally see the BoS taking it over. The music is good stuff too. Bethesda should take some tips from this guy.

I really like the ones he made himself.

I just never really have been a big fan of re-mix's/changing of things... but his editing skills are excellent and the pictures he edited are very fluent and fitting.

What I would like to know is why is there so much of The White House left standing? You would think that it would have taken a direct hit when the bombs dropped.

F16? No... just... no.
F14.

Frankly, the geiger counter, the Pontiac, and the F14 make it even worser than Bethesda's ones.

...that's not the white house, dude, that's capitol hill

I don't like the F14 much either. I don't see what's wrong with the geiger counter or the Pontiac.

I like these a lot better actually. Bethesdas were pretty good, but seeing these... hmm. I don't like the car in the first one though. It's too 80's and not 50's. Other than that, pretty fly. Kudos.

the first two graphics are okay, but pfft, screw the BoS idea.

i personally, really wouldn't want to encourage bethesda to use the BoS very liberally even though i know they will. despite it being "canon" does anyone really think we can trust a company with the ability to have "paladins" in a post-apocalyptic setting in this day and age? i'm being serious. there is a reason both spin-off games loved BoS to death: it prolly needs to go.

good point with the music tho. fallout is about dark, dreary mood and black humour. the bethesda music is of the very excitable "yes sir mr. president" mood along with the capitol concept art, which seems really out of context, and not at all suggesting they could really get the dreary and sardonic fallout mood across.

in any case, if they really want fallout on the east coast, i pretty much insist that they cast that brennan guy from the jerky boys for a voice role.

oops.... Need to brush up on my knowledge of the USA I guess.

So the same question applies to Capitol Hill. Why is there so much standing. I realize it's "concept art", But it makes no sense.

I believe he means the car in "Radiation."

Yeah, that one sucks, but it's rotten anyway.

Remember that this isn't Fallout-specific art, just stuff kxmode picked up from the internet.

Yes it does, Capitol Hill is
1. Not a strategic target.
2. Fairly easy to defend against bombers

don't feel bad. i always thought that whole building was called "congress."

if it were not unofficial, the modified concept art (with BoS) could succeed to suggest that it could have been used as an outpost and fought from and at with small arms, and was missed or not targetted by bombs. some parts of fallout could suggest nukes weren't used everywhere, and they could have porked the washington population via other means.

i'm not super crazy about that concept art piece tho. maybe i just need to change its colour scheme in my mind; as it is, it looks maybe-okay for deus ex 3 or something.

Not a fan of the originals with additional art/itmes... crap. However, the geiger meter and the pontiac images are fairly awesome.

the first two are the best... the F-whatever doesnt fit into the style and additionally not into the picture
