Thats why you pay taxes. So the government can use everyone's money to care for its citizens. Or you just pay or taxes so the little and cute senators and politicians in general have their salaries paid?

Funnily enough, if the people had the same access to the health plan that it's legislators did, there wouldn't be any problem. Bizzare how when it comes to giving themselves raises and benefits there's no struggle to pass things like that through congress. Then they have the balls to talk to us about rising HC costs and "hardship" - something which effects none of them in any way. Then they pack the bill with all kinds of unrelated pork and pet projects for their closest friends, relatives and campaign contributors.

Meanwhile, my state and every state around me already has free, subsidized and/or mandated healthcare for everyone already. Come on, whatever the question is, waiting around for Washington to solve it is not the answer. FEMA anyone?

To be fair, FEMA was run by a political appointee of Bush's who had no qualifications for the job and it's quite possible (from my experience with politics) that he may have driven out and replace a lot of staff, further compounding the problem.

And just to hammer in that fact(And for those that don't know, remember, or care) that head of FEMA previous job was the was the head of Arabian Horse association of America(something along those lines)

because Horses have a lot to Emergency Management.

I'm not sure how that bolsters confidence in the Beltway Boyz, what you're describing is the failure within the failure. Cleaning house of everyone and replacing them with questionably qualified cronies has been standard operating procedure as long as I can remember, current regime notwithstanding.

Here's what it comes down to. If you need to depend on the Feds to hold your hand through life, you're already fucked and you just don't know it yet.

Washington is good at somethings, playing grabass, bombing brown people.
