Americans (and anyone else i suppose)

33% Dixie. You are definitely a Yankee.

Yankier than thou.

Interesting, though I wonder about a few things.
  • 'Aunt' I pronounce it like 'want,' but that is a conscious decision on my part to avoid confusion with 'ant', which is how I would naturally pronounce it.
  • "How do you address a group of people?" I have can't recall ever using any option they list.
  • "What kind of sale is it on the front lawn?" I use Yard Sale and Garage Sale interchangeably.
  • "What's that road along an Interstate highway?" I use Service Road and Access Road interchangeably.
  • "What's the night before Halloween called?" Hallow's Eve, god knows where I picked that up, but it isn't on the list.
  • "What's that bug that rolls into a ball when you touch it?" Pillbug now, Roly-Poly when I was younger. Which makes it a bit complicated.
43% Dixie. Barely in Yankeedom. Makes sense, considering that I live about a mile south from the Virginia/Maryland border. I'm barely in Dixie, if you can still consider Northern Virginia part of the South. Though I did pick most of my early English up from American community overseas.

36% Dixie. You are definitely a yankee.

... What can I say? My Great-Grandparents were Louisiana folk, and my father's side were Okies.

30% Dixie. You are a dandy Yankee Doodle.

Makes sense. I live in Southern California. Such a mix of cultures.

Or it could be something to do with the fact that my father is from Maryland and has a lot of influence from the New England area.

"38% Dixie. You are definitely a Yankee."

Wow. Almost every quiz sucks ass, but I always take them.

i think it's the europeans with brittish english influences that get dropped with the yankees.

i don't know any european that's going to talk like some southern american...

16% Dixie. Wow! You are a Duke of Yankeedom!

They left out a key yankee identifier though: "How do you pronounce 'car'? (a) 'car' (b) 'I don't have a caah cuzz thez no place ta paahk'"

I got 21% Dixie. You are a dandy Yankee Doodle.

Born and raised in California and now living in the Northeast.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

There actually is a word for throwing Toilet Paper over the house... awesome.

71% Dixie. Your neck must be a just little rosy!

Maybe that doesn't mean anything, since I never heard of a "Doodle bug" or a "Grinder"
