An apocalyptic anniversary

So Old I'm Losing Radiation Signs

Interesting little fact – today (October 23rd) is the anniversary (well, pre-anniversary) of the Great War in the Fallout universe, which led to the gloriously fun post-apocalyptic landscape we’ve come to love. To celebrate this, Dorkly’s made it the subject of this week’s "Today in Nerd History":

Let us all celebrate with a bit of whiskey and some iguana-on-a-stick.

That was short and enjoyable. And he's well-informed. What more could one ask for?

Fallout tactics isn't considered part of the fallout lore anymore?

Didn't MCA say it was?

I don't recall, but if it was in the FO Bible, MCA's actually gone on record as saying that he didn't think the bible should be a determinant of canon. I think the guys at Microforte themselves admitted that it was completely out of step with the franchise, and Bethsoft said that it was only canon in the broadest possible strokes (specifically, Todd disavowed Tactics and F:BOS both, and Emil said something to the effect of "only high-level events, at best" are canon).
