Any way to get into Vault City vault after blowing up Gecko?

You don't need to go into the Vault to finish the game. But the Vault does have some juicy stuff. :P

If you get in peacefully as a citizen, there's a great free doctor. But since that's not the topic, you can still get a lot of ammo, some metal armor, the red memory module, books, medical supplies, basic weapons, general sellable loot...

Yeah, going in is a good idea.

Why not have my cake and eat it too? I sneakily killed one of the guards via stimpaks and possibly planted explosives, and got in "peacefully". Prior to giving Lynette the same treatment.

You can still get most of the loot. I meant that to see the excellent doctor there you'll have to be a citizen.

Actually, he gave me treatment too... must have, since I have Vault City Training and Inoculations. They basically acted in there as if I was a citizen.

Off-topic, but since much of this is anyway: Has anyone else noticed that, even with killap's patch, Horrigan takes no damage from critical hits? Well, 5 with Living Anatomy, but presumably zero without. The alien blaster is doing 20+ damage and sometimes a lot more, but a crit to any part of his body with it (or another weapon) does diddly squat. Weird. Maybe his crit tables are hosed somehow. I've read about this other places, but never noticed it myself before.

Lol, the dev team doesn't think of everything. So the game assumes that you couldn't possibly enter the vault without being a citizen or fighting, and doesn't code the citizenship seperately for the doc.

Actually, I think one of the dialogue lines implied that you were lying to him. The way I figure it, it's the people inside the vault who just assume you're a citizen and don't ask any questions. After all, they don't normally check your papers, and the vault is guarded, so it's plausible a doctor inside wouldn't check himself.
