Any wrestling fans?

still, i mean it's not the kind of thing that's useful in a real situation.

sure they could kick our ass in 1 second flat, but it's not something you can learn as self-defense or something like that without investing all your time in training (and bodybuilding).

i'll stick with the simple & dirty fighting: krav maga. :)

So no-one watches TNA :( ?

SuAside, any MMA guy would knock anyone out on this board with ease. Not calling anyone on this board weak, or making a big deal of violence, "'cause it's cool. lol and solves everything" but you're crazier than the ultimate warrior if you think MMA guys are pushovers :)

did i ever say they were pushovers? i did say they could own our ass in one second flat didn't i?

just saying their 'skills' are pretty useless anywhere outside the ring for the average person. there are no real valuable lessons that could help you in any way and it's nothing you can just learn if you want to (unless you go pro).

A lot of MMA is just that. A mix of martial arts, boxing and catch-as-catch-can wrestling. All of those are things you can learn on their own, just MMA fighters learn more than one and hybrid them generally.
So, just learn two styles and mash them together...

Love the wrestling, though I hate the gimmicky wwe crap.

Some of the best wrestling was in the old AJPW, wrestling stiff as a board and sickening power moves. The fued between Mitsuharu Misawa and Toshiaki Kawada was one of the best ever.

I also like ultra violence wrestling, like CZW, IWA and old FMW.
If tacks, barbed wire, light tubes or glass plates are in a match, I'll probably like it. The more blood the better, really=)
Favorites: Atsushi Onita, Sick Nick Mondo, Ian Rotten, Necro Butcher.

But my favorite is definately the golden age of AJW, roughly between '90 and '95. Manami Toyota is a fucking goddess, her matches with Kyoko Inoue are classic. Dreamslam 1 and 2 are simply the best wrestling shows, ever. If anyone can point me to a place where I can get the May 7 1995 match she had with Kyoko Inoue I'd be eternally grateful.
