Anyone ever tried making a Power Armor costume?

Btw, the bottom picture is a statue, not a costume...
As for the first picture: Ultramarines suck...
Dark Angels rule.

As for the helmet thingy: It depends a lot on the Mk. of the Power Armour. The helmet in picture 2 is Mk. 6 or Mk. 7 helmet. (same goes for the armour, most likely Mk. 7)

I think a vault suit would look absolutely awesome. The power armour would look cooler, but I'd say more FO fans would immediately recognise the vault suit more easily.

You can basically build (with enough money) everything in a fictional power armor with one exception: The power source. No battery can do it and a generator/engine would require too much fuel, and be too bulky.

Miniaturized fusion power, where are you?

I was watching Ripley's a couple of weeks ago and saw a man that made a suit of armor. He had developed a new type of alloy that was stronger than steel but a lot lighter. It seemed to be pretty indestructible, he took a car that was suspended by chains and had it slammed into his chest. The armor wasn't even scratched. Not power armor, but if you do play on making a suit you should definitely make it out of the material he uses.

Why? The material is probably hella expensive and it's not like he's going to actually raid a military base with it so there's no need for it to be that tough.
