Aptitiude

Are there any benefits to having a high magic or tech affinity, or does that just affect how the otheer works on you??
If I keep my aptitude near neutral will that allow me to make full use of both tech and magical items?

Increasing your apptitude in either direction increases your ability with items of that disipline.

If you remain neutral you can use items from either category, but they will only work at about 50% efficency. So, for example, a magic sword that does +6 damage will only do +3.

Also if you are neutral then you will find it almost impossible (if not impossible) to hit high magic creatures (i.e. Golems) with tech weapons and high tech creatures with magic weapons.
