Arcanum in multiplayer

Look, Ma! Two Heads!
Hi

I was trying to connect with a friend for playing Arcanum in multiplayer coop, but Sierra must have closed the server and connection does not work. Do you know if there is any way to connect by direct IP?

I actually managed to connect to the server once but it was really slow. Check out a yahoo group called the weekend warriors.

I'm very glad.

When I saw Slamelov post this and saw he didn't get any replys I felt bad. Not only since I like Arcanum and am just as curious as him, but the idea of playing the game multi-player and with other fans would be grand.

I'm glad you Von Drunky went and said that. At least now the thread didn't go unnoticed even if the question can't be answered.

I did post that "the multi-player was on a Sierra server that no longer runs do to that the game is old and even when it was new no one used it at all. Most likely, because it's played single-player foremost, but also I heard you couldnt use the map navigation feature in multiplayer. I figure since you can't have that many players moving that fast through the map at once. I don't know how they could manage it.".

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Try it out and get back to me i wouldnt mind playing arcanum fallout stlye.

Me neither :)

Hamachi is awesome, it's great for file replication, circumventing cd-key problems, and having LAN fun in general.

I was trying hamachi, but I can't get it work with Arcanum.
I remember the first days in Arcanum when I had tried the MP with a friend, and it worked... not fine, but worked.
I'm a fan of cooperative multiplayer. I liked a lot to play System Shock 2 in cooperative, also another games like SWAT 3 and 4, Operation Flashpoint, Baldur's Gate, Hidden and Dangerous... but cooperative is almost dead, at least in RPG games. You can play MMORPG, (most of them sucks), or RPG single player. And there is not RPG games for next year with cooperative, only stupid games like Two Worlds

Have you done the fixed port forwarding deal for Hamachi? That might fix it.

No, I don't know what fix are you talking about :?:
Go to the advanced settings in Hamachi, select a fixed port and make sure your router forwards that port to your pc.
