RE: Get your head out of your ass.
The point you are completely missing is how the term sequel applies to literature, movies, games, etc. You're skewing the hell out of this, exactly.
I'm glad you realise how ass and gay can be used differently, and in an how they have specific meanings or definitions when used in certain situations, like insults. Calling someone an ass or gay in a denunciatory manner, it's obvious as to what the usage is. In this case, so does sequel, when dealing with series.
The consequence and result definition of sequel is only referring to sequential circumstances. Cause and effect. "Myself calling you a fool is a sequel to you using the wrong definition as commonly applied to the topic at hand." THAT'S the usage, though it's rather a rather deprecated usage, particularly with the material at hand.
I really like how you backpedalled quickly and chose to redefine what you were saying after someone brought this to your attention. You're playing a nice game of Artful Dodger right now, one that is going to stop because this thread is going to be locked and archived. Don't play a semantic troll again or you're gone.

"Robert, your time has come!"
"OOOH! Thank you, Master!"
"Don't mention it."
*Robert explodes in a shower of sparks*

It's me, Jack Brown! The wind-up ass-hole!
