Please Help!- Technical question

I just purchased a copy of arcanum and am deeply distraught after finding it wouldnt intsall!.

I click on the setup icon and i get 'this prgram has perfroemd an illegal operation' thingy was accursed windows.
Under neath this is a bunch of technical gobeldy gook-MSIEXEC caused an invalid page fault in
module MSIEXEC.EXE at 0167:00400280.

Argh. It's a Windows fault.. are you using WindowsME? Arcanum runs just fine on Windows 98, 98, and 2000...

Maybe if you installed the newer version of DirectX first..

Invalid Page Fault.. it means that one section of memory is being used by two separate forms of data. Do you happen to have Norton Utilities and Crashguard? If you don't, get it.. the WinDoctor and Crashguard are the two best Windows diagnostic and repair/preventative tools out there..
