Assasinate Carlsson (OR Carleton. Or Calson. Or whatever)

Okay, this is a little off topic but for Bishop's first quest, he wants you to assisinate Carleton. Or whatever his name is. So, you steal the pass from Gunthar and the guard lets you through to his house. Walk through the house, stand next to the guy, take out your Guass pistol and one shot in the eyes and his head explodes. Then every cop in NCR is trying to bring you down!!! Is there a way to avoid this?
 
It's because they know you killed him. You have to be able to exit combat and be away from the scene of the crime. Go to a window on the side of the house and shoot inwards. If you kill him in one shot, you should be fine.
 
Also you can steal a poison injection from the bookcase at the doctor's house.Just put the injection in your active slot and clic use on the npc you want to kill without starting combat.

You can use the Poison (or Jet, Buffout, or Psycho) on Westin to kill him, not Carlsson. I too mixed them up at first glance ;)

Last time I played FO2 - about a month ago - I was just standing in the same room as Carlsson when I blew his brains out and no one attacked me afterwards. I think that if you position your character in the lower left corner of the room, you can get away with it.
 
Kind of like how you can stand in the corner after setting off the bomb on Bishop's safe, and his men won't see you... :roll:

But the real solution for the problem is that you have to sneak and kill the mister inside one round, when you can still exit the combat on your own turn. Or so I have heard.

In a normal game I never invest any points in traps. And since I know I can blow the safe without being caught by Bishop's blind guards, why bother?

Also, I like to do the "Kill Bishop silently" quest, so I'd invest some points towards the end game (If playing a high-IN character)

That is a surprisingly high Traps skill quest, man. I don't know if investing all those points is worth it, unless you are playing to some ridiculously high level.
 
How can I assasinate Vice President Carlson?

So How I can kill him without being noticed, I have tried hand/to/hand combat, but always some guard comes after me, I`ve tried sneaking, doesn`t work.

I have tried Superstimpacks too (it worked for mr. Westin) but when I tried to use the superstimpack on Carlson, it didn`t do anything, I looked him and it says "He looks unhurt" on the screen, so "wtf" is this =)

Or should I just wipe the whole NCR police from this planet? =)
