Barricade

Good, more ideas... The problem is the engine itself, not the scripting. We can't override it with scripts (Hal9000, anyone?)
Explode command just dont work when combat is initialised.

I see your point now.

So, we need:
- an NPC with 1 HP which
  • *sprite (appearance) will be a barrel
    *death animation will be ruined barrel together with the explosion animation
- script for that object that'll do some damage to critters around when dead/dying

Lich, you write that or what???
