Beginners Guide to Fallout:Equestria

This page gets my approval just because I saw SammyClassicSonicFan earlier.
Anything with him in it is majestic.

It's 100% meh.

I've never seen the show and I don't plan to, and although Fallout with horses seems like something I'd enjoy while high, the story itself isn't all that great. The level of writing is top-tier for a fanfic, but that doesn't make it great, just okay; it lacks style, rhythm, theme and sometimes flow.

I haven't read all of it, and I'm not even going to try and tackle Horizons, but from what I've seen the story itself is at least interesting. I've gone through most of it and although there's a lot of stuff I just don't get or don't like (yeah okay, unicorns are kind of intrinsic to it, but still) it's a good and interesting blend of various Fallout elements with enough originality to keep me interested.

Off the top of my head, I liked the renegade paladin that was originally meant to be in Fallout 1, the Master/Cyborg dude, the Cloud in the capital and the Enclave being somewhat more of a relevant faction (though much like 3, they didn't really need to be there at all).

Fuck the DJ though, I hated 3-Dog in the game and I hate him as a horse.

3 dog was fucking garbage. Can't believe some people actually like him. His voice is just so loud and grating

A creepy stalker to boot not to mention a vampire, given how the only possible source of food around his set-up is raiders and BoS members.

Someone made the mistake of referencing New Vegas along with Fallout: Equestria, did they?

At least that isn't an alien city under the Ponyjave. Hell, maybe the FoEquestria people have a better take on the original/western lore than Beth.

Generally... yeah. A lot of the draw to the fics is that they make plenty of lore references to both the game series and the show, and it rarely seems forced. Like the Hydra chem (in this case, made from actual hydras). Or this region being known as the Moojave, part of the greater San Palomino Desert. Buffalo Native-American tribals are a thing in the actual show, so...
