No, not really. Gamecube is the worst. Inspite of Eternal Darkness.Maybe in terms of graphics, but in terms of game selection and genre variety, the XBOX is abyssmal beyond definition.

No, not true. Maybe for you it is, in which case I pity you, but the GameCube is the only console with consistent unique titles that really don't appear on other consoles or the PC. Practically every title on the XBOX came out on the PC, and the majority of the titles for the PS2 as well. I'm not going to buy a console so i can play games I can play on my PC as well. No, not really. Gamecube is the worst. Inspite of Eternal Darkness.
Heathen! Infidel! You shall pay for this outrage!Phil the Nuke-Cola Dude said:About the only good thing about the game is the snazzy graphics and the lightsaber twirling.
Name those games. How come none of the games on my Xbox, Halo being the exception, are on the PC then?
If it is released at all.Fable probably won't come to the PC until 2006 or so.
No, it wasn't. Splinter Cell was originally going to be XBox only. Until it got released on multiple platforms.Nice wait. Splinter cell was a multi-platform release.
Crappy.D&D Heroes
Boring as hell.Dark alliance
Are you sure that didn't come out on PC?Hunter the reckoning
Boring Hack 'n Slash, plus it did come out on both PS2 and Gamecube, making having an XBOX for that useless. Two towers
Crappy, and I think it also came out forChronicles of Riddick
That's the only game I've heard to be good enough to buy an XBOX for.Ninja gaiden
Didn't that come out for the PS2 as well?Psi-ops
Dreamcast. But, true.Shenmue 2
Came out for the PS2.Panzer dragoon Orta
PS2 and Gamecube.SSX 3.
Multi-platformAnd I've borrowed Soul calibur 2
Meh. Pretty boring standard fighting game.and planning an eventual buy of Dead or Alive 3.
Another standard racing game.I also regularly play Burnout 2.
No, since KotOR uses a variant of D&D, which means it's turn-based under the hood and could never work as an action game. If they had just made it turn-based like TOEE it would have been much better.Montez said:Sorry to hop back to talking about KOTOR, but am I the only one that thinks that game would have been 100x better if they replaced the crappy pause-n-play combat with Jedi Knight style action?
Hmm..hmm. YOu do realise I base my info on a professional gaming magazine, one that prides itself in its incorruptobility and actually publishes every single offer they get from publishers pertaining to placement of games. eg. they published that they got an offer for a unique preview of Half-Life 2 if they would spend x pages on it and give it at least a 9/10 in their final review. They're a very good magazine, and frankly, I'm more inclined to trust their judgement than yours. As I said, I only bought DA and Heroes because of the coop, and the fact that they were cheap. Chronicles of Riddick was NOT crappy, you've never played it, so how can you know? Dead or Alive 3 has more world interactivity than any other fighting game right now and tons of styles, and Burnout 2 isn't a standard racing game, since one of the objectives in the game is to crash your car. Get your info right next time, Sander.
Ahem. I do research, and I know what the general feelings are about these games. However, you seem to be falling for the "I've played, I liked it, so it must BE good" trap.Well, I usually use several "professional" sources instead of a single one. Which is what I did here (at least 10 different reviews per game). Also, I've actually played the games, you haven't. You seem to have fallen for the "they've never been wrong before" argument, which is stupid. You don't have to not trust me because it's MY judgement, I share it with countless others. As I said, search a little more.
No, I think they're bad because either:No. Proof that they are bad. You think they are bad for no particular reason, it seems.

Oh, and Halo Xbox>>Halo PC, mainly thanks to the coop mode, normal system requirements and a much much earlier release. Don't get me wrong, I'm a hardcore PC gamer, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good game of Xbox with my friends.
PC has more games than Xbox.
with the exception of fighting and car games. Sports games are pretty equal.
Why should I prove that those games are shit? They suck. Period. I wouldn't be caught dead playing most of them.Baboon said:And Ratty, what proof do you have that these games I mentioned are shit?
I hate Japanese games. That's not an excuse - that's a fact. I have yet to find a title that comes from Japan and doesn't want to make me regurgitate the contents of my stomach. This especially goes for all of their beat 'em ups (but doubly so for Tekken), the entire Final Fantasy series and just about any game similar to the latter. And what's that lame excuse about hating japanese games, which you pulled out of your ass just because those games were the ones you could eventually like?
