I enjoy a lot of ambient music when playing Fallout or Elder Scrolls games.

I'm currently digging my heels deep into Fallout 4 at the moment and was curious if anyone had a preferred choice of music to listen to while playing.

  2. I dont always listen to music while exploring because it breaks immersion, but when I do I listen to Beethoven or nu and classic Doom's ost.
I also enjoy listening to "In the Hall of the Mountain King" when playing Dark Souls and Gothic.

Who is this girl? She hot.

I don't usually listen to music while playing, though recently I've been listening to Deus Ex music whilst playing around on Garry's Mod (I'm quite fond of the UNATCO theme in particular).

I just add a bunch of radio mods so I can choose whatever I feel like.

So, I really like listening to the classical station on the Pip-Boy's radio, simply because it's amusing in fights, but the Diamond City Radio really gives me a feel of being in the time period, and it makes it feel more authentic.

I have never played FO4, but if I did, I would undoubtedly play selections from the FO2 full sound track.

*Obligatory why not play a better game comment*

I always thought this song would've been a great fit for new Vegas.

It's got that Western feel and has thematic parallels with the game itself as it's about letting go and moving forward. It's even got the same vaguely sad tone the game has. Why it's not actually in new Vegas is beyond me.

I feel it doesn't fit, so I don't listen to music unless I'm in a place no enemies would be present, and I have to go around turning off everyone's radios because they interfere with mine.

I love that Big Iron song though. My favorite one.

I still marvel at the lack of perceived subtext [by QA, Licensing Manager, Audio Engineer, and Project Leader] for the "Butcher Pete" track.
