Big Lebowski Reference

Okay, so this should be fairly obvious, but surprisingly I don't think anyone on any other site has posted it, so I thought I might as well put it here...

Does anybody else think that Festus in New Vegas is a reference to "The Stranger" from The Big Lebowski? Especially since the latter drinks sasparilla? It's got to be a purposeful reference, right?

Here's a video comparison; tell me if I'm crazy:

Who is this guy....

Me or the guy in my profile pic?

Well, I'm me, and it's a free internet I can post where I want

If you're talking about my profile picture, that would be Lee van Cleef on the poster for The Return of Sabata

Some of my favorite films are from the "golden era" seventies--Dirty Harry, Taxi Driver, Scarecrow, Mad Max (of course).

Cohen Brothers films are good stuff though.

Lebowski is great, as are Raising Arizona and Miller's Crossing.

Also another great Cohen Bros. film that unfortunately seems to fly under the radar is The Man Who Wasn't There--a fascinating mix of James M. Cain-style noir and the Twilight Zone.
