curva sinistra? Is that romanian? Because that is just the way we say it, except the last 'a' from sinister has a '\/' over it .... And curva sinistra sounds a lot like 'curba sinistra' wich would be a sinister curve...

A lot of Western languages have very similar words and structures because they're all derived from either Latin, Germanic or a mixture of those two. And if I recall correctly, Romanian is one of the languages closest to Latin, so it's not that surprising that you'd recognise things from other languages.

Curva Sinistra is probably Spanish. Although I believe the exact same words work in Italian as well.

Yeah but Wooz is Poland and that is supposed to be more of a Germanic-Slav country and language IMO, excuse my ignorance if I am wrong...
Anyway that drawing is ghastly, it looks more like a mummy with a fresh coat of paint than a human being , truly sinister...

Isn't Wooz originally from Brazil or some other South-American country?

Wooz lived in France and Mexico before as well. Plus, all Western languages have latin influences.

I heard Wooz once landed on mars. But that might not be true.

No, it's true. And it took him only two days to get back to Earth. Nasa is still trying to figure out how he pulled that one off.

Magic carpets. But yer, I actually lived in France, Mexico and even Murika.

Ontopic, the "Curva Sinistra" thing means "Turn Left" in Italian. You know, the whole deal with Remus and Romulus, and the bird omen story, which led to the ethymology of the word 'sinister/sinistre'.

Furthermore, "kurwa" in Polish means "whore", and "sinistra" in Spanish means "sinister". The whole idea for this small sketch came from my recent trip to Venice, in which I saw a roadsign near the Mestre airport (obviously, there are no roads in Venice) which said "Curva Sinistra". To the puzzlement of my fellow bus passengers, I burst out laughing as I pictured roadsigns warning drivers about sinister whores jumping onto the road out of the darkness and causing road accidents.

To be absolutely correct, "Curva sinistra" means "Left turn".
"Turn left" would be "Gira a sinistra".

Nice joke. In Russian "курва" [kurwa] means the same as in Polish.

How did you like your Italian tour, Wooz?
