Duh. Fact is something that is perceived by OUR senses and interpreted by OUR brain. :-)

World we live in is world we perceive and interpret. This is a fact. What we can't perceive but can interpret is theory.

>"I think, therefore I am" is
>bullshit. Remember the Matrix.

<sigh> What is a man? A body? A soul? A mind??? No, it is the essence of 'I', spirit of individuality. This is a man, not some lifeforce or whatever it is. When we think, we define our individuality. I think because I am.

That philosophy spice was good, but it can't replace the real food. Don't live by the movie, it's just entertainment.

especially in the field of power armor and chemistry. READ THOSE MY MANUALS BABY.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Dec-01-00 AT 11:10AM (GMT)[p]>Finally, my perception of time slowing as you approach the speed of light is that because you are moving at such a fast rate you are essentially doing everything at the fastest speed possible, therefore you perceive time to be slow.

In theory, time will slow if you are moving at the speed of light. If you take two clocks that are exacly as fast as eachother, syncronise them, keep one on the earth and shoot the other one into space with the speed of light, and have that thing return to earth later, you'll probably see that the clock you kept on earth is ahead of the one you shot into space. So, time is not only perceptive. It can be measured. In fact, the definition of a second is the time it takes an electron to circle a certain atom x times.

"Don't worry men, they can't hit us here"

P.S. Whatshisname was right. For some odd reason, subjects can't stay on topic here.

Actually it's the occilations (vibrations) of a Cesium atom. I can't remember how many but it's like 15,000.

Well there is no topic... well not in the sense of the board itself.
