Okay, but no one touched on my main gripe with the first remastering: Did they fix the fucking rancor? Goddamn, that thing is ugly, the movie still looks pretty impressive, but that thing looks like it escaped from a movie from the 30's.

And about getting the originals in laserdisc/DVD, i'm sure soon enough a pissed of fan will get this thing to make the round on the good old interwebnet (better now montez?)

Yeah, you should edit that last part a little. The laserdisc versions are around in various formats though, and aren't too hard to find - there are people selling them on eBay, for example, if you want to go that route.
