This has been up for some time on Bourgeoisie, but it seems they're having no luck finding extra graphic designers:<blockquote>One of our best designers, namely Michael Daniels has gone on vacation to Germany. They don't pay him, it's a fan project. Don't act like you didn't know that already.
 
Shame. This thing looks more promising then some of the upcoming commercial post-apoc offerings.

No, it's just that now I have an intern job, I've become very aware of the work ethics. And I'm very pissed when someone neglects them.
 
Yes,, but since they're not bound by any kind of legal contract, you can expect some people to be leaving the team, temporarily or permanenttly. It happens to every fan project.

The Chicken Head members don't answer to neither the other members, or, for that matter , fans eager to embrace the complete product, as long as legal terms are considered. Hence they cannot be disciplined by dissolving any sort of agreement or withholding their payroll.

Still, it's a shame.
 
Bullshit. No you don't. You expect them to act professionaly and courteously towards the project and other team members. Leaving the project is not a sign of nonprofessionalism, but just taking off when you could have warned people weeks in advance is.

Good point. Luckily, the guys have seemingly advanced beyond the point where losing a graphic artist for a few weeks could do more damage than just delay the project a little. (I hope)
 
that could quite possibly kill a project, it will make others think "why should i put the time and effort in if others leave at a whim?! fuck it!".
 
We are amators. Michael travel to family to germany, he will come back for 2 months, and work will be continued.
Dont worry we have 2 graphics members on list who have waiting for orders (one from rumunia, and one from poland) - they are realy good, and i think that everything will be OK. :]
 
Michael is good person realy. He working hard for this two months. Easy transport with me - Concept - Object. He knows everything about project, and i am very impressed about support that he makes. Maybe this is unprofessionalism, but for me Michael is GOOD guy :] He place big hope in project.
If the dwo new guys will be fit in team i will be searching for ONLY one person, so if you can make character object PLEASE mailme : intoxicate@interia.pl. And the team will be complete ;) I can say that everybody in the our team could get some money, because i will get for engine some cash. If everything will be done like i say - we will be in god damn good profit :P (but like i say in our team - "Fuck the money - work hard! then we will talk about them." - and everybody knows that if we finish there will be some nice cash.
I remember the beggining where everybody thinks that we are loosers and hamsterfuckers :P - but now we have BIG respect, i talk with boos's in other project - we exchange with informations about "How making good game" (something like that), because everyone have other vision "How making design of game project" - most project in Poland is working professionaly. I personally aggre with Erik Bethke,Dr.Greg Zeschuk and Dr.Ray Muzyka (BioWare Corp.) who write book about game desing: "Game Development and Production", ... i get away from main topic ;) What we are talking about .... a graphics members. I know that working as graphics designer in game project is realy challenging, because you must hold hard restrictions whih are in game engine, but i think that in our game graphics designers are happy (they say that ;p) because everytime they get detailed concepts of object whih will be make, and my commends about the object. I know that find good graphics designer is realy DAMN hard, but if people knows that everything is going good way, and if he knows that project maybe have some cash there are more posibility to join us.


Yes i know that i am saying shit, but i am litle drunk... sorry for that ;)

ps. In couple of days i will make update in "Renders" - i add a project of NPC - "Traveler" i will show concepts, object, and character in game.

I find it offensive that I have to click on a British flag for the English version of the Bourgeoisie web-site. DOWN WITH THE ENGLISH EMPIRE!! Where's my Australian flag for Australian english, aye mate?
