Bourgeoisie Needs You!

what other licenses did you have to buy?
Visual Studio.NET 2003
Windows 2000 Profesional
Milkshape
Paint Shop Pro 8

now we must buy:
gmax
Torque + "add doons"

there any way to 'assure' that something useful will be done with the money ? Not buy the engine, and abandon the project 3 months later ..
We are so far now, and have 40 people working on it, so ....
like you se we are buing licenses, because i will search for sponsoring/distributor when design will be ready.

We are to far to cancel project. AND Project have realy big potential i am definite that we goona find some sponsor/distributor (not only in Poland) when preproduction will be ready.

you cant see that... but we are "changing" litte and slowly to "PRO".

If you could post your IBANN numbers and that kind of stuff it'd be easier to make a European money transfer.
Today i will talk with Manager so maybe we will figure it out ;)

Thanks for your support guys!

Why Windows when Linux is free and more stable?
There are better products around for free than Win2k PRO and Studio .NET 2k3.

Eh. Whatever. Your choice.

Yes i know and couple of us is working on Linux, but i prefer MS. Dont want to waste time for learning Linux and tools.

We have now those licenses, and yes that's our Choice :)

I am working with VS for years... and i dont want to learn otrher IDE

EDIT:

We have new sponsor (today he give us money) and our Programmers have licenses now!
Thanks for your support guys!

Well guys, there have been a few changes in development of Bourgeoisie.
You may have heard before that we've decided to change the game's engine from our own made ZeD, to a fully developed 3D engine "Tourqe"
By doing this we've saved about half a year of development. Some of you might be worried that this project will never see the light of day but I assure you we have carefully thought over this choice.

The problem with Tourqe was buying the 100$ license required for learning the engine. Luckily the problem was solved by a sponsor who gave us the money for the license. Right now we have the license and are already starting to learn Tourqe.

So now there is no need for your money. We really thank everyone for their good will. We won't forget things like this.

That's good that you've got your stuff together. It'll be interesting to watch what happens.

Curious though, how much time do you get to work with Torque? That's, when do the license expire? How much time did you buy for 100$
:)

That's everything you get with the indie liscence (I'm assuming that's the one they bought because it's 100 USD (per programmer mind you)). I'm pretty sure you get the liscence for as long as you want.

Basically you get:
Award winning netcode, GUI editor, C-like scripting, full C++ source, seamless indoor-outdoor rendering, mission editor.

Don't know if any of you have played Tribes 2 at all, but that's the same engine, although it's been updated continually since then. Now that I know what you're using I'm going to keep a close eye on the project, should kick ass when it's done.

This is fantastic news! I hope you guys continue with your good luck. We can't wait to get a glimpse of your project once you've worked with the new engine. Take care.

Engine will be moded by us - almost everythink will be moded. Torque is only limited by skill of programmers.
Maybe we will start making RPG Pack for Torque and everybody will be able to make RPG's with Torque Engine...
we will see...

First Programers must lear engine - and that will take some time...
500k lines of code ;)

In couple of weeks i will update our site and add some infos about Story Line, Game World and ofcourse Engine.
And i will show screenshots form our old engine (phase> preTechDemo)
