How accurate a "post mortum" is this?
None since it's a review. You'd have to wait for a real post mortem.

Will "Science Guy'' survive the gantlet of RT melee rushes?
Sure, due to better equipment (weapons, armor, tools) and he'll have "TEH UBER" robot cnpcs.

Will FO 3 survive the market demands of "FEATURES" a computer game SHOULD have?
I believe so since we knew from the get-go that we'd have to include MP and RT. This has allowed us to plan ahead for it rather than trying to tack it on at the end -- which would be far more costly in terms of dev time and quality.

What sort of multiplayer is being talked about here? Is it that the single player campaign will be playable with two people? With more than two people? If this is the case, will the game ask for a main character to be designated whjo is the 'chosen one' and the other character be treated like a NPC who is part of the party?
As to the dual combat system, apart from every game that had it turning out to have very poor combat, the games also ended up with a heavy emphasis on the RT combat (basically, for the speed), so I'm hoping VB avoids this.

So Briareus, I wonder..why did you have to include RT and MP, besides the obvious answer that it could sell more titles. Sales is probably the only reason to put it in..
The obvious answer is the only answer. Everyone can debate on whether or not VB would sell better without MP and RT or with, but no one will ever be able to really find out.

It's far more productive of us to work on implementing it well and in a way that doesn't *explitive* over TB. Seriously, saying we shouldn't do MP or RT at this point is as old and pointless as "It's a trap!" photoshop submissions over at the SA forums. We've all heard the same arguments over and over now. The horse is dead. Please stop beating it.

Co-op, just like the IE games.

No. I won't say more on this 'till J.E. talks about the story.

Wasn't trying to, just asking.

Hey, I like those "It's a trap!" pictures!

But seriously, how do you think the balancing is coming along overall? Do you feel that you guys will be able to avoid or improve upon the faults that other TB/RT games have? How about SP/MP? Are you still in the debate/discussion phase, or have you started coding it yet?

No worries, now git on working and get us some new concept art images or screenshots! :)
