(SOLVED) BUG with QuarterMaster. All items X41 (???!)

Hi,

Have somebody tried using Quartermaster for his/her mod? Does it work good for you? Each time I use Quartermaster trigger to add some items, I receive x41 of each!!! Have any clue why this is happening? I really need to fix this because I don't want the player to receive 41 pelts each time he/she kill an animal!! :shock:

I was able to isolate the problem to bos.cam for now. Looks like a lot of bugs can happen with this file - BE CAREFULL - (like encounters not appearing in ft Improver editor or bos.cam no longer usable by ft tool after saving with ft improver, etc.) I tried reimporting everything in bos.cam and quartermaster item quantites were jammed to X123120445 or similar instead than X41!!! To continue...
 
The problem is mostly likely an error in your format of your campaign.txt file. perhaps you forgot a closing bracket or a comma between values or something similar. go back and check. the format has to be very precise or you can and will experience a variety of strange bugs. If you can't figure it out, you may just have to start over from scratch. For this reason, make sure you always have a backup of any of the files you want to edit. maybe if you can post an image of the portion of the campaign.txt file (that covers the QM additions) I might be able to help you narrow it down.
 
Thanks for your reply xkcon but I think I found the problem. I was able to reproduce the error using DARKFALL demo and a freshly downloaded version of FT Improver 2.0.0.1. When using the campaign editor with FT Improver, the file gets automatically corrupted, resulting in the random encounter not showing AND the Quartermaster to get VERY generous on the items... : x282398792783 or some other random number. Using only "Import QM list" option, the numbers jam on x41. It does not happen using Fallout Tools at all and the option "Import QM list" works with the QM list of my mod using FTTools. I think we should never use FT Improver to create/modify a campaign file. Already had too much problems with it so far!

Some people here use FT Improver to work with their campaign file with success? Can some people please test this for me with their mod? BACKUP FIRST!!!
 
Do not import QM List and other .txt campaign tables through FT Improver. Import your campaign.txt file only through clear FT Tools 1.27 Campaign editor: launch FT Tools.exe, not the FT Improver.exe.

Anyway, FT Improver do not have instuments to edit campaigns, it need to create entities and missions only.

Hehe, I'm very happy I had to recreate my .CAM file from scratch anyways, to be able to implement movement rates and block certain zones of the map filled with water (like the Atlantic ocean)... So.. Nothing is lost. I'll always use FT Tools for campaign from now on!
