So ya beat the game and now what? Well how about a city building mod? A city that needs to be built and maintained from the ground up.
I think it would be cool to build a city from the ruins of Arroyo, I mean ya got the GECK, might as well use the darn thing.
I guess to get this mod started a discussion for how to build this mod would be good.
What I’m thinking of is after the game and you return to Arroyo that a dialog message appears and gives the option to build a city (pending if the GECK is in inventory or to go back). Now if the GECK is in the player’s inventory and that message is clicked on, the screen fades to back and returns with the bridge built and the ruins cleared.
At the end of the bridge on the other side of the canyon a trigger is set off where you get another dialog popup saying that "you can’t do this alone and that you will need to find recruits to help build the city". So after clicking on that text the mod runs. On the nest screen all you see is trees, rocks, a well and hole in the mountain that is the temple where the village once was.
So the player sets out to find recruits for his city.
First stop is Klamath:
Here a few new citizens are spawned and scattered around the town, when you click on them the dialog message appears and they say something like, “Hi, I’m new around here and there is nothing for me here”. The player will then reply back with, “I’m building a city to the north and could use some help with building, farming, mining, security and such”. Then depending on the person being talked to and what skills they have and what Karma the player is at, they will respond with “Well I’m good at building structures, my fee will be 60 a week” or something like that.
So what ya'll experienced mod wastelanders think, is it a doable mod so far?
