Call of Duty: Ghosts

I'm looking forward to the day CoD finally peters out.
It's been too much.

They will never peter out. They have the money to research and deliver exactly what the majority of people want for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever. They will make themselves into a new sport and live on as a new form of entertainment. Future generations will be watching COD players compete for gold on their google contact lenses and jumping in their call of duty virtual reality machines for tryouts while all the fallout fans beg for nuclear war to wipe the madness away

Oh look, another live action trailer with absolutely no gameplay, making it impossible for me to give a shit.

Brilliant marketing move right there.

Despite that, you can pretty much predict what CoD gameplay looks like anyway.

New weapons that look different but have the exact same function. Along with hours of multiplayer fit for every loud mouth 12 year old!

I think Call of Duty 4 was the peak of the series and it has steadily declined since then. At this rate of decline it is very likely that some other FPS game series will overtake Call of Duty...

Battlefield?

They just keep on releasing a simplified 10 year old game. How is this possible?

I've heard there's actually three CoD games in development right now. So I guess they're set for the next two years too. Yey.

The teaser is delightfully dumb. Does that kind of marketing even work? I mean, it's Call of Duty, which makes it difficult to assess how much the quality of the marketing has an impact at this point, as long as there is marketing and lots of it.

there is still hope though.

At some point they will run out of names.

Might take a while though.

Our prophet Waffledamus has spoken. :notworthy:
Meanwhile, everything comes to an end. COD's end is just being prolonged by meaningless sequels and mass appeal for all the wrong reasons. But it will die... all things die. And all things that rise to unspeakable fame die with no glory. Those words can speak for their self.

I still don't get why they even make a single player campaign? Couldn't they cut costs and make it multiplayer only and sell it for 40-60 USD for consoles?
