Caution: Do Not Walk on Tracks

So Old I'm Losing Radiation Signs
A Pennsylvania woman who was struck by a train has sued the rail company — for failing to warn her that trains travel on railroad tracks.

Patricia M. Frankhouser filed suit on Nov. 4 seeking damages in excess of $30,000 from Norfolk Southern Corp. , according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Last January, Frankhouser was hit by a train as she walked along railroad tracks in her hometown of Jeannette, Pa., a southeastern suburb of Pittsburgh.

Amazingly, she came away from the encounter with only a broken finger, some cuts and, according to the lawsuit, "pain."

Apparently, however, the incident was traumatic enough for her to hire a lawyer.

"Defendant's failure to warn plaintiff of the potential dangers negligently provided plaintiff with the belief she was safe in walking near the train tracks," Frankhouser's suit asserts.

It goes on to state that Norfolk Southern, based in Norfolk, Va., should have posted signs warning passersby "of the dangers of walking near train tracks and that the tracks were actively in use."

Nowhere in the filing does it say whether Frankhouser heard the train coming, why she failed to get out of the way or even whether she was walking alongside or in between the rails.

Her attorney did not return the Tribune-Review's call.

Doesn't Bush have some openings in his cabinet?

A perfect candidate, right there.

Hold on... you work at the UN, Wooz?!

This Woman makes me ANGRY!!!11oneone!!11eleven!!11!!!!11onehundredandeleven11!!11!!!!

In other news, perhaps I should run her down in a stolen car and blame the manufacturer of the car for not telling her that cars can run down people and the person who owned the car for not putting up a sign saying that it actually belonged to someone when I stole it.

I don't work at the UN. Don't believe those filthy Capitalist lies.

Comparing it to the Bush administration is beyond imbecile, that's all.

Defence: "Your honor, the defence would like to point out that labeling the train tracks, crossing, and associated property to be of no use, as if Patricia Fuckhead doesn't know what railroad tracks are for and what travels on them, she's probably far too inbred to know what a train is. What is next, suing the transit authority because there aren't warnings on streets about automobiles?"

Too bad frivolous lawsuits like this aren't punishable by death for failing to provide positive contribution to the gene pool and society as a whole, and then try to make it's someone else's fault because they can't be bothered to follow society's norms.

Judge: "Ma'am, you are a moron. Get certified as mentally incompetent or stop wasting the court's time."

The sad truth is, because this is America, she'll probably win. And screw being part of the cabinet; with credentials like those, she's a prime candidate for fucking president.

No, obviously she's not rich enough. Wait until she sues McDonald's for spilling coffee on her lap and wins, then she will be prime for president. Rich AND stupid, what most of the Bible Belt looks for in a president because since she has money, she's doing something right, and talkin' bright-like shore makes 'em feel like dumb and that's intimerdating! Mayonaise some big words!

Of course somebody would bring up the fucking McDonalds case. Nevermind that the McDonalds in question heated their coffee above standards, and said coffee MELTED through the bottom of her cup.

Its a shame the "accident" didn't damage her ovaries. Would've been prime Darwin material.

Sounds more like a person who could get a god job at the UN.

"I don't care who you are, that's funny right there." (Reference to Larry the Cable guy from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour)

It is sad how this country has turned into the country of lawsuits.
