It was a sad, sad thing to see Jericho canceled a second and final time.
True that pally, true that.
Really- I heard the series kind of sucked in its second season.
Given the split between people that enjoyed it and people that did not... I'd say you have to see it for yourself. Many said the 2nd season became a bit darker than the 1st although I'm not sure I would agree with that.
I assume CBS will put the last 7 episodes on DVD but... that seems like such a wast especially if they charge $40 USD
!??!?! I have never heard any negatives on season 2 except from those that say it cut a lot of character development and social drama and filled it all in with more action
Its not the best a PA could be
but its definitely the best thats been around for quite some time
might as well watch it
And I am pretty certain the Season 2 set is only 20 bucks, maybe 30...
i say, in 20 years they'll make a remake. With CGI. And naked chicks.
What they really need is a zombie apocalypse TV show. None of that drama bullshit. Just zombies taking over the world.
Frackin' eh I'll pick that up when its available. I hope there will be more special features though.
Invasion, Jericho, Journeyman, The Dresden Files, Firefly...was very sad to see those shows go. There are others, but I can't think of them all off the top of my head. Invasion came out in Lost's 3rd season I think, and by the end of the season I was missing episodes of Lost and not caring, but I watched every episode of Invasion.
Networks blow...plain and simple.
It's already available for pre-order at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Jericho-Secon...ef=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1213092617&sr=1-1
As far as I know you'll have the 2 versions of the series finale, the one that was broadcasted and the one they made in case the series would have been picked up.
Btw, some fans are still trying to "sell" the show to the SciFi channel or some other channel: http://bringjerichoback.com/content/section/9/37/
From this list, for me, Firefly was really the best one. I was never a big fan of Buffy or Angel, so I never gave to much credit to Joss Whedon, but after watching Firefly followed by Serenity... My God, that guy really kicks ass!
Now I'm waiting to see what will be coming out of Dollhouse...
Nice! thanks for the info! I do find it hard to believe the SciFi channel will purchase the rights to Jericho if they wont go for Firefly. They don't want to spend the capital obtaining something like that unfortunately...
What they don't seem to realize is if they were to purchase the rights to crappy B movies instead of making them, they just might be able to save up the moolah to pay for something great... But clearly, as I have indicated in the past here, I am not a real big fan of the SciFi management team... In fact, I despise them very much so my doubts are abundant and expectations low.
Of the ones I listed, Dresden Files was probably my least favorite, but I thought it was getting better as it went on, which I can deal with. I even liked the Blade series on Spike that got cancelled, I was having fun with that. Though Painkiller Jane pretty much sucked royally...
Hell, I even thought I would be OK with HBO...but they canned Rome, Deadwood and Carnivale. Least FX has kept up with the Riches and Rescue Me. I rarely give the big three a chance anymore...just not worth my time to get invested in a show and see it canned by some dipshit in a suit.
grapedog... its all about the 4400. I get to snicker at their awful attempts to convey that they are in Seattle... End of season 4 with the "Welcome to Seattle" sign that doesn't exist, along with the city slogan "city of peace"...
Hey Maphusio, have you read Briosafreak Fallout3 Blog, lately?
He has a new post about Jericho:
I haven't read it, yet, but it seems that the Jericho community is still alive!
As I stated in my previous post that Briosa linked; it seems to me that folks are putting their foot down in general. It may not be as much for Jericho as it is for preventing this from happening again in the future.
Maybe not though, maybe folks just love the show THAT much. I can't really say one way or the other but I love the fight! Go Jericho Rangers! -Thanks for the link!
Man, when I posted before I didn't realized that Briosafreak Blog Post had a "With a hug to Maphusio" linked to your other post, here at NMA
I even thought I was giving you some news!
It turns out I was only showing you a Briosafreak Blog Post referring your post at NMA...
Hah, no worries, you were giving me news of his blog entry. As I told him, I don't read his blog often enough!
Terrible show, better of dead.
