Chernobyl Catastrophe anniversary.

Today is the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl Desaster, by the way.
Not something to celebrate, but to remember the heroic efforts of the firemen, scientists, engineers, volunteers, teachers,

conscripts, workers, doctors, drivers - the Liquidators at the Chernobyl Site.

I've always wanted to visit the site since I'm a huge fan of STALKER but something about that reasoning felt wrong to me. The fact that remote controlled robots were killed by the intensity of the RADs is just astonishing. The 40 second live personal runs clearing debris on the reactor rooftop were insane but in the end they accomplished their task.

These people's sacrifices were amazing, I thank them for their attempts at containment of that disaster and wish them well.
